My child is on the waitlist. What does that mean?
The waitlist is for when our classes are full, but you want your child to be next in line should an opening become available.
How many teachers are in each class?
Two at all times whether it's CC-Care or a regular classroom. There is never a time when your child will be alone with a teacher.
Cost for 2-Day? 3-Day?
2-Days is a total of 71 days for $3,408 total.
3-Days is a total of 107 days for $5,136 total.
Are your teachers CPR certified?
All Creation Corner staff are CPR, AED, and First Aid certified and are required to keep their certification up to date.
What curriculum do you use?
We use WEE Learn by LifeWay. It's a Bible based curriculum that encourages students to learn and develop their skills.
Are you a "play to learn" program?
While we do play and have fun, we are not a play to learn program. We are structured and have set times for play. However, we do have games to play that go with our lesson plans and try to keep things fun for the kids while they're still learning their lessons.
What is "Specials"?
Specials is a separate class for the children. They have different teachers and it gives the classroom teachers a 20 minute break. All classes will have the following schedule:
Tuesday - Music: Children will sing songs, learn about different instruments, and learn music to sing for our Spring event "Spring Sing".
Wednesday - Language: (Excludes 2-day classes) Each month has a different author for the children to learn about.
Thursday - Science: Teachers will do small, age appropriate experiments with children. Teachers will teach that God made the whole universe (Genesis 1-2) which includes ourselves, our 5 senses, rocks, plants, insects, and sea animals.
What state aid (e.g. CHASSI) do you accept?
We do not have resources to accept state aid at this time.
Do you offer anything for children with special needs?
We do not offer Occupational or Speech Therapy. Children with special needs must be screened prior to enrollment to ensure we are a good fit for your child's needs.
How do I receive a statement for taxes?
Statements will be available online through your FACTS account. You will have the option to email or print it for yourself.
How do I pay tuition?
Everyone must make an account with the FACTS payment system. If you have registered your child, you'll be sent a link to create the account.
How does the Creation Corner office communicate with parents?
Office staff will communicate via email and Facebook as much as possible during the summer. Once the school year starts, the majority of the communication will come through classroom teachers or ClassDojo. However, you are more than welcome to contact the director or other office staff during the school year.
What is CC-Care?
CC-Care is our before and after care program for Creation Corner. It begins at 8:30am and ends at 3:30pm.
Why do you not follow the O'Fallon school district for the calendar or inclement weather closings/early release?
Creation Corner (CC) is a ministry of First Baptist Church of O'Fallon (FBCO). FBCO has a K-12 private school called First Baptist Academy (FBA). Since we have a school on the premises, we follow FBA's school calendar and inclement weather closings. There are a few exceptions. Your child's classroom teachers will keep you informed of the CC calendar.
What's the protocol for "late drop-offs" and "early pick-ups"?
Late drop-off: Inform your child's teachers if you'll be late. When you arrive, you'll take your child to the "Main Entrance". The receptionist will let office staff know you've arrived. Office staff will take your child to their class.
Early pick-up: Inform your child's teachers if you'll be picking your child up early. When you arrive, you'll go to the "KidsLife Entrance" and call the office by pressing "5512" on the keypad. Office staff will bring your child out to you.
